AAYK Football Club continued our impressive unbeaten run in the 2026 Nationwide League One (NLO) season with a deserved 2-0 victory over Fehinty FC in our Matchday 4 encounter at the Oduduwa College Centre, Ile-Ife, Osun State.

The victory further strengthens our position among the leading sides at the centre, as we recorded another important three points alongside another clean sheet in an impressive start to the campaign.
We began the encounter with confidence and attacking intent, immediately putting Fehinty FC under pressure from the opening whistle. An early opportunity arrived in the 6th minute when our striker, Makinde Iyannu connected brilliantly with a nice cross from the left flank, but his header narrowly missed the target.
Our persistence eventually paid off in the 17th minute when captain Falaye Oluwadunsin once again demonstrated his outstanding form, smashing home a clinical finish into the left side of the net to hand us a deserved lead.
The captain continued to dictate proceedings in the attacking half, combining excellently well with his midfield partner, Adeleke Akorede, as we created several dangerous opportunities before halftime. Falaye Oluwadunsin later picked out Makinde Iyannu with a precise pass on the right side of the attack, but the Fehinty FC goalkeeper produced a strong save to deny us a second goal.
Adeleke Akorede also came close before the break with a powerful effort from the edge of the area, only for another impressive save from the opposition goalkeeper to keep the scoreline narrow at halftime.
We returned for the second half fully focused on maintaining control of the game while searching for a second goal to secure the result. Olaoluwa Pelumi tested the goalkeeper with a dangerous free kick in the 61st minute, while Oyeleke Kunle narrowly missed another big opportunity later in the half.
Our pressure was finally rewarded in the closing stages when captain Falaye Oluwadunsin was brought down inside the penalty area after another influential attacking move. The referee pointed straight to the spot, and substitute Adedeji Ridwan stepped up confidently to convert the penalty, firing emphatically into the middle of the net to seal the victory.
The result means we remain unbeaten heading into Matchday 5, continuing our strong momentum in the Nationwide League One season. Beyond the result, the performance once again reflected our discipline, attacking quality, defensive solidity, and collective determination as a team.
Captain Falaye Oluwadunsin delivered another commanding display, contributing directly to both goals and leading by example throughout the encounter.
With four matches played, we remain fully focused on maintaining consistency and continuing our push as the NLO26 campaign progresses.
