As AAYK Football Club continues its remarkable journey in the 2026 Nationwide League One (NLO) season, one player whose contributions have been instrumental to the team’s success is our dependable goalkeeper, Agwu Chidebere.
The teenage shot-stopper has emerged as one of the standout performers at the Oduduwa College, Ile-Ife Centre, playing a very important role in AAYK FC’s emergence as centre champions and securing a place in the Osun State NLO Playoffs.
Chidebere’s impressive campaign is highlighted by four very important clean sheets against:
- Igbajo United FC
- Fehinty FC
- Ileogbo United FC
- Hammola International FC
These were not just ordinary matches; they were key fixtures that ultimately gave AAYK FC the competitive edge needed to finish top of the centre.
Beyond the statistics, Chidebere’s influence on the team has been immense. His calm presence in goal provided stability and confidence for the entire defensive unit.
